Family and I have been “granted” deportation out of Srebrenica by Serb and JNA occupying forces. We’re on our way to be deported by bus.

The Yugoslav People’s Army (JNA) has invaded Srebrenica. My neighbour, Mica (we call her Bela), has advised me to place a white sheet out of my balcony, which is what Serb residents have done in other occupied territories. If they think I’m a Serb they won’t kill me. I don’t understand what’s happening. I’m living in a nightmare.

Dad wanted to get off at Biljača, which is halfway between Sase and Bjelovac. Serb forces let us go. That’s it. We’ve been officially deported out of Srebrenica. This is a crime against humanity. Where is the world’s reaction?
