Around 400 kilograms of explosives were placed in the foundations of the mosque, under the orders of Rajko Dukić.

The well known special officer by the surname of Kraljević, and his righthand man, member of the Serb militia Elvis Djurić, worked on the realisation of this task to obliterate every trace of the centuries-long Muslim presence in this region.

The destruction of the mosque was organised in advance. All Serbs were informed on time to evacuate their apartments if they lived near the mosque.

The detonation was so strong that all the windows in the vicinity of the mosque cracked. The heavy machinery of the bauxite mine, which had already been prepared, worked all night without stop. /The ruins were taken away and soil/earth was hauled in for filling. Imprisoned Muslims from the Sušica camp worked on the loading.

By this morning, there was not a sound or a trace of the old mosque. In its place are freshly poured earth and planted pine trees.

It is clear to the remaining Muslim population in Vlasenica what fate awaits them.

More than 90% of the Bosniak population fled Srebrenica at the start of the war. Srebrenica is now mainly populated by refugees like myself from surrounding villages and towns, which have either been occupied or razed.
