Woke up this morning in Bekto’s home. Breakfast was waiting for us on the table, which we didn’t expect, and food to take back to Srebrenica. A kilogram of powdered milk and a kilogram of powdered fruit juice, a few kilograms of flour…

…a loaf of bread – and a tin of chicken pate for each of us. This is enough to last seven days. I’m so happy just imaging the joy this will bring my mother and Braco.

Ah. Something has just happened which has broken my heart a little. While Dad was loading his backpack with the food provided to us by Bekto, he suddenly stopped. He sat down, covered his face with his hands and broke down, sobbing like a child. (1/2)

I was very interested to hear if Gaddafi, being a Muslim, would demand that Milošević stop killing the Bosnian Muslims. But he didn’t.

It’s crystal clear to me that for Milošević, Karadžić and the other architects of Greater Serbia, the war in BiH has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with gaining territory, absolute power and money.

The Chetniks and their helpers from Serbia continue with frantic attacks on the free territories of Srebrenica, Cerska, Konjević Polje, and Kamenica. But the heroic defenders of this land are determined to defend their homes until the end.
