Given the total lack of baking powder and yeast in Srebrenica, people have started using the dry powder from fire extinguishers as a raising agent. Fire extinguishers are not in short supply. Every building has them, every office and factory. (2/3)

All the extinguishers are being picked up and smashed, the powder taken out and sold in the marketplace. I have no idea what kind of chemical it is and what possible long-term consequences it may have on our health. (3/3)
