The permanent grimace of anxiety is slowly disappearing from our faces as we realise we are allowed once again to live relatively carefree lives.

I’ve gathered all available professors, teachers, and other professionals. Together we have agreed to take in the children on the streets of Srebrenica and set up a continuation of their primary and/or secondary education. (1/2)

BREAKING: Serb forces have attacked Žepa, which under the Vance-Owen Plan is a designated “Muslim” area. 30,000 civilians are trapped, all trying to escape the onslaught.

As the UN Sec General’s Special Political Adviser, I must stress that UNPROFOR cannot be expected to take on the additional responsibility of ensuring the status of additional towns as safe areas is respected. (1/2)

UNPROFOR would need at least one brigade in each town declared a safe area. The Secretary General does not have the means to implement all of the safe areas proposed by non-aligned members of the Security Council. (2/2)

The United Nations has adopted resolution 824, which further extends the status of safe area to Sarajevo, Žepa, Goražde, Tuzla and Bihać

The US will provide a very clear and defined strategy to give the Bosniak people the means to defend themselves within the next few days
