A Serb artillery volley has been fired from the direction of Bratunac. It has landed in the vicinity of Fojhar village. @suljagićemir, Senad Alić and I are on our way with 4 UN monitors and UN police to assess.

The Chetniks are continuing to shell the edges of the safe area. Let’s be clear: this flouting of the ceasefire is down to there never being any formal sanctions in response to their actions.

Oh God. We’ve arrived at the site of the artillery fire. The villagers took us to the meadow where several children were playing when a shell exploded nearby. One little girl has been blown up. (1/2)

Senad & I both noticed something white in the grass. It’s a piece of the little girl’s brain. Senad immediately turned and is vomiting as I tweet. I started swearing at the Chetniks. All the while the UN monitors are writing in their notebooks. (2/2)
