The Muslim people are being armed with the UN’s good will. The UN’s dropping of ‘aid packages’ onto the Žepa enclave was surely not a clean operation. No one could bring so many weapons into Žepa if they hadn’t come from the air.

Why are we allowing aid convoys to cross through Banja Luka, which will help the Ustaša? The Uštaše, Croats and Muslims shan’t receive a gram of salami, nor a can of tuna, until the Serbs are sent what they need. (1/2)

Remember I tweeted about UN soldiers paying for (group) sex with Srebrenica girls? One of the girls was thrown out of the UN observation tower unconscious. Now girls seeking cash for sex no longer go alone. Local boys are frequently acting as ‘middlemen’.

🧵 What does going to the ‘cinema’ look like in besieged Srebrenica?

Cinemas are in fact rooms, sometimes divided in two, with one or two TVs connected to a VCR. The films are part of the pre-war stock of Srebrenica’s video stores, and the price of entrance is two cigarettes or two tobacco leaves.

Imitating life, we queue in front of these cinemas, acting as if it’s nothing out of the ordinary. I’ve only been to one of these ‘cinemas’ once with my girlfriend. We watched Three Days of the Condor, starring Robert Redford.
