🧵 Previously forgotten diseases are inundating Srebrenica due to the inhumane conditions we are living in.

We have many cases of tuberculosis, not to mention skin conditions such as lice, scabies and so on. These skin conditions are everyday occurrences and sometimes we healthcare professionals get infested; it’s unavoidable given that we have barely any water in Srebrenica.

Since the reservoir the town gets its water supply from is located outside the town, in Zeleni Jadar, a village that has been under Serb control from the beginning of the war, we are not sure if the water is safe to use.

It would be setting a bigger precedent than if we were to hold onto what we have defended, on what is our territory. I’m not saying that we should aim to hold onto all 72% of Bosnia, but at least 64%, which is our territory.
