The Bosnian Serb army is advancing on Goražde, which is a UN “safe area”. I’m here with my two children and pregnant with my third. My husband is a soldier and has told me to get the kids ready to flee.

I’m bathing Haris tonight before we get out of here. He’s packed his backpack full of books because he wants to learn how to read and write. I’ve put him and his sister in warm clothing.

Haris is sat on my husband’s lap. They’re talking to each other and hugging. Who knows when they’ll see each other again once we flee.

My Haris is dead. He was playing outside with a puppy we found when a Serb shell hit. A piece of shrapnel pierced his heart. My baby is dead.

We can confirm that in the last 24hrs, one UNPROFOR soldier has been killed during Serb shelling around the safe area of Goražde. This triggered UN General Rose to request NATO airstrikes. NATO was able to hold off further advances on Goražde. We are closely monitoring the situ.

During our recent meeting in Pale, @karadžićradovan and I have agreed that a cease-fire in and around Goražde should become effective immediately. We agreed that the forces should be withdrawn from the front lines as far as possible as soon as possible

As regards the recent “agreement” between @karadžićradovan and @unakashi about Goražde, this is yet another example of Karadžić engaging in tactics and manipulation.

Serb forces are continuing their advance on Goražde. They’ve reached within 1km of the “safe area”.
