I’ve been picked up along with other remaining prisoners. The rumor is that we’re being exchanged. Dare I dream that I’ll be a free man again?

I am a free man. I was sent to my first detention camp on the 14th of August, 1992. Two years, one month, and 22 days later, I am free.

We had food to eat when the convoys arrived, when we received food packets. They were good. But they did not come regularly.
