I am a free man. I was sent to my first detention camp on the 14th of August, 1992. Two years, one month, and 22 days later, I am free.

🧵 The Union of Municipal Citizens Association of the Bosnian Drina Valley is addressing the international and Bosnian community with a demand for immediate measures to defend human life and health from the onslaught of aggressors…

… as well as the inhumane conditions in which, for more than two years, the populations of Srebrenica, Žepa and Goražde have been living.

The Union is seeking a renewal of “Operation Parachute” and the urgent airdrop of textbooks and other school items for primary and secondary school students, as well as the delivery of food, medicines, and supplies for personal and general hygiene.

Due to the inefficiency in providing aid to the safe areas, the Union is directing a strong protest at the UNPROFOR and UNHCR.
