There is high tension in the population due to the lack of food and fear that the situation will remain uncertain for a longer period. There are rumours that people are going to Žepa in order to get some food.

Security is calm and stable. During the week one incident took place on Wednesday 30 November at about 1300h. A Bosnian Serb army patrol got less than 100m close to a UN op and fired a couple of small arms rounds in the air.

Op personnel fired a warning round but the Bosnian Serb Army started shooting at them. Dutch battalion got in touch with the Bosnian Serb Army responsible which resulted in a ceasefire.

No convoy arrived over the reporting period [24-30.11.1994]. The food situation became very critical since there was no food coming in the week before either.

Many people can be seen walking around with bags asking for food. Wheat flour is not available in the market. Airdrops are being considered if convoys do not resume by the beginning of next week.

The health situation is under the control of Médecins sans Frontières and local doctors. The medications stock improved by the arrival of an MSF truck last week. Increase of health problems feared if the food situation does not improve.

If we do not think of building a nation, we will be once again in 500 years of slavery. In other words, it will no longer be 500 years of slavery with a chance of freeing ourselves one day. If we do not build a state now, there will never again be a Serb state west of the Drina.
