We’ve been ambushed by Serb soldiers between Konjević Polje and Nova Kasaba. They’ve separated Hazim from me. Oh my god.

Hazim and the other captured men were ordered to put their hands over their heads and bend down. I begged them to let him go but they didn’t. One of the Serb soldiers hit me in the stomach with a butt.

We were approaching the road and as soon as we got there, we came across Chetniks. “Put your hands in the air!” Among the ten of us there, no one was armed.

We walked in front of them with our hands behind our necks. They led us, my brother and me and the rest of us, to a playground in Konjević Polje. They separated my brother and me right away.

They started cursing, “Look at the Turk woman” What’s she doing here?” He asked me what I was doing and I told him I came with my brother. They were fully armed, wearing some black suits and they had black caps on; only their eyes were visible.

Many families here have woken up in distress. Those girls, boys, and men who were taken away last night by Serb soldiers have not returned. This is all happening in the @unproforbih base.

I’ve woken up in the same spot I fell asleep in when Dad and I were captured by Serb soldiers last night. But Dad has gone. I’m all alone. What have they done to my dad?
