My friend told me not to go back home from work today, because apparently Serb forces would stop me. I had to come home to get my wife. But I don’t think I’ll go to work tomorrow.

We’re fleeing our village of Džemat (Srebrenica). The whole village is fleeing. We’re heading North and West.

The situation is awful. If I didn’t have my father-in-law, I don’t know how I’d be surviving right now. All the houses in Cerska are all full with refugees. He is helping us as best as he can.

Kravica has now fallen to Serb forces. We’re fleeing Cerska before the Serbs get here.

I’ve signed up to join the Bosnian Army.

My wife has been murdered by a Serb shell, while she was getting food for the kids. Our children are 3 & 4 years old. Tomorrow I return to the frontline, and my children will likely leave Srebrenica town for somewhere safer. I can’t believe the woman I love is gone.

We had food to eat when the convoys arrived, when we received food packets. They were good. But they did not come regularly.

Sometimes it was every 15 days. Sometimes we waited for months. It wasn’t a problem that the food was monotonous, that it was a little, that the meat was only ever preserved.
