I’ve been arrested along with my parents and uncle by Serb soldiers in our village of Mađer (E Bosnia). They told me to lie down and surrender my weapons. Since I didn’t have any, I was not beaten. But I have been told that I am now a prisoner.

Mum, Dad, myself and my uncle are all being taken by our Serb captors to the nearby village of Kosovo.

We’ve arrived at a garage next to the house of Mićo Andrić. A large group of armed Chetniks are waiting for us inside.

🧵 Today my father and I were beaten by our Chetnik captors. I was beaten by Brane Krsmanović from Rogatica and another Chetnik called Stojan Perković. I was then stabbed in the hand with a knife.

I could see my father lying, covered in blood, on the garage floor. All the time, Mum kept asking the Chetniks not to beat me anymore.

Rajko Kušić ordered that we be searched for weapons (again…). They found a packet of bullets on me. I was forced to eat three of the bullets. Krsmanović and Perković took turns to beat Dad and I. We’ve all survived, for now.

Mum, Dad and I are being transferred to the Secondary School Centre in Rogatica. I don’t know what awaits us there.

We’ve arrived. It’s a detention camp. There are 35-40 Muslim women, men and children here. I’m sharing a room with Kemo Šošo, who used to work with one of our Serb captors, Rajko Kušić.

Rajko Kušić has ordered for my father to be interrogated further. He’s being taken away. I don’t know if he’ll come back.

Dad and I have been escorted out of the secondary school in Rogatica by a Serb soldier. We’re standing at a crossroads near Kosovo village.
