There’s been a massacre in my village of Zaklopača, near Vlasenica. About 80-90 people have been killed by Serb forces. I’m fleeing to the woods. I don’t know how long I’ll be in hiding. I’m pregnant.

I’ve been hiding in the woods with my family and in-laws since the massacre in Zaklopača on 14 May. Today we have arrived at my father’s house on the outskirts of Srebrenica. We have one floor of the house to live on.

We’ve packed our things and are heading to the UN base in Potočari. Masses of people are moving. My husband, my brother-in-law, my dad, and my brothers are leaving to escape through the woods. Many men don’t want to leave their families behind in Potočari.

I’m on one of the buses of women and children being deported out of Potočari. Chetnik soldiers have stopped our bus several times. They take people off the bus to search them for gold or money. (1/2)

When we were stopped at Kravica, our Serb bus driver said to the soldier, “What more do you want from these people?”. The soldier warned him “be careful otherwise you will join them.” As we drove off I could see the driver crying. (2/2)

UNPROFOR soldiers are giving in to the Chetniks in Potočari. Chetniks are taking their weapons and dressing up in their clothes. Some UN soldiers are crying. We came here to be safe but it’s clear we are not

Serb soldiers are taking away men, boys, and girls during the night. All I can hear is terrible screams.

Many families here have woken up in distress. Those girls, boys, and men who were taken away last night by Serb soldiers have not returned. This is all happening in the @unproforbih base.
