There are just too many people in Goražde right now: tens of thousands of people in the city, and many of them are milling around on the streets, soldiers and civilians, not knowing what to do.

People have stormed a UN building in Goražde in an effort to shield themselves. Serb forces have advanced to within 500 yards of the UNHCR headquarters in the city.

🧵 Aid workers in Goražde have published two reports on the situation. Their first report states that the Bosnian Serb army is shelling and attacking with tanks and infantry the last remaining Bosnian Army-held ridges overlooking the city from the east.

The main thrust is against Biserna. The road from the city to the West is now in no-man’s land, eliminating the last road connection to the rest of the enclave.

Their second report affirms that Serb snipers are taking aim at people in the streets of Goražde who have been unable to find shelter. The local population report all newly captured villages as being burned down, including Kopači.
