I’m being detained with other Bosniaks in the House of Culture in Čelopek village, in Zvornik. We’re being tortured and I’m terrified…

Today the detention centre was “visited” by the Serbian paramilitary unit, the Yellow Wasps (headed by the Vučković brothers). They killed several of our comrades.

The Yellow Wasps mutilated them, and forced some of us to eat the severed body parts. Those who couldn’t bring themselves to do so have been killed. This is hell on earth.

🧵 Life in the Batković detention camp (Bijeljina) is hell on earth. Around 1,280 Muslim men are being detained in a single warehouse. In a separate area women, children, and elderly people are being detained.

Sanitary conditions are awful. We are given little food or water. Serb guards beat us. Three of my comrades have been beaten to death, and another shot dead.

10 of my comrades have been singled out for especially brutal treatment. They are beaten three times a day, are forced to beat each other, and are repeatedly forced to engage in degrading sexual acts with each other in the presence of other detainees.

We are all forced to perform manual labour every day, including digging trenches and carrying munitions at the front line, burying bodies, working in fields and factories, and assisting in the construction of an airport near Bijeljina.
